I have been working on my stars. I only have six more to finish. But I have to do this while the furry one sleeps. He is into everything! It took me all morning to lay these out and take a picture! OK, it really only took about 30 minutes. I had to work fast. I'd put him in the kitchen and ran back to the blocks and straighten them out. We did this about 15 times before I got a quick picture.
Don't let that furry face deceive you. He's all crazy cat energy, covered in fur.
I've discovered that my design floor isn't really working out with a cat. I'm going to have to come up with a wall board if I want to see what I'm doing without a cat running through and swiping a few blocks on the way through.
Funny thing is, I gave him the selvage from the toile curtains and he carries it from room to room like a security blanket. In retrospect, giving him a piece of fabric to play with probably wasn't a good idea.
Still hot as blazes here and with the forest fire just over the hill, it's not making for a pretty day either.
Stay cool and safe.
Take care, Brandie

What a great way to think cool on the hot days... Beautiful fall colors! Hope it cools off soon!
Great progress on your stars. It is hot as blazes I've started quilting at night and early mornings. My workroom is cooking in the afternoons. Not fun, hope this lets up soon and the fires under control. One is terribly close to Lake Almanor. Stay cool and safe is right
lol!!! I can just picture him dragging his selvage "blankie" around. :) Our cats "foster" beenie babies and carry them around periodically. What a ruckus when they drop them in the water dish accidentally and then can't lift them out when they're all sopping wet. They get so distressed!
Love your blocks Brandie!
Love, love, them.
Crazy kitten....LOL. We live in Twain Harte and the heat is awful......hope they get the fire out soon....we are always worried over here also....
Love your star blocks!!!! Nothing cuter than a naughty little kitten!!! :-)
Wow, you're doing great on the stars! For my design "door", I just took a piece of flannel and attached it to the inside of my sewing room door (when I used to sew in a room with a door, LOL). It's not large, but it holds enough to get a general idea whether the design is working. Dorian is adorable!!!! I hope he doesn't read your blog, because he thinks he is HELPING you, LOL!
The stars look great and I am still loving that toile!
great star quilt - and your little kitty is just tooo cute!
Your Harvest Stars are glorious. Just think how fun your new Dorian exercise routine is. Super cute for certain...little gray kitty.
