Puffy circles

I did get around to quilting, with that extra day I had. I tried to come up with a way to disguise my puffy circles. The more quilting I did around them, the more they puffed.
Puffy.......
This time the quilt was laid flat and it's still puffy.

So I cross-hatched the dickens out of it. Flat as a sheet of paper. How beautiful. I was worried for a while.
Click on the pic for a better view. I'm happy that they all lay flat.
Today, after my dentist appointment, I'm going to work on the outer borders.
