There is proof that I haven't been too lazy and just sitting around around reading.
I did a really simple panel. All I did was quilt it and add a binding. Simple stuff, but after painting a ceiling and trim, this is all fun.
I now have this quilt hanging on the fridge. Someone keeps jumping up on it and dragging it down. I'll give you one guess who it is.
I try to sew when someone takes their nap. somethings this works, but most often it doesn't.
Like now. I just waited to cut a few bias strips to make a vine on the Halloween quilt. But no, I had to have help. If I'm not careful, he's going to lose part of his tail and then I'd be the bad guy!
I tried to put up a fence using my ruler.
"Really, you think that's going to keep ME out?"
Same old, same old going on here. But I do have my hallway ceiling and all the trim painted, so that room is completed.
Next I need to tackle the popcorn in the kitchen. But every time I think about it I lose my ambition. Do I really want to do it. Yes it'll look better. But it's going to be so messy! Than I'll have to paint the ceiling. But it'll look 100 percent better. You'll never be happy till that popcorn is gone.
These are the thoughts that go around and around in my head.
I think I lost my ambition somewhere...
Take care, Brandie

Love the Halloween panel and of course Dorian! I think I got my email situation fixed!
Good luck on the popcorn ceiling. I helped my sister do this once. We wet a small spot, scraped it into a small trash can and it wasn't too bad. It did look a lot better!
at least you had ambition to lose!
Aww, don't beat yourself up. You've been working so hard you need a little break!
Love your little quilt!
Dorian has grown soo much in the last few weeks!
The popcorn in my apartment had asbestos in it, so was a hazardous material. I had a friend die of mesothelioma after just a summer job's exposure to asbestos. Be sure you're safe.
Ceilings are my LEAST favorite thing. The best you can hope for is not to have a stiff neck and a bunch of junk in your eyes. But it WILL look so much better, LOL.
Your little shadow is just so precious! I have a fondness for gray kitties, I have one myself.
Such a cute panel!! Dorian is just like having a kid! lol
I removed a pop-corn ceiling once. My motivation was anger, pure and simple. The bedroom had the sink in it and the rest of the bathroom was in a...well, a bathroom. I didn't like that set up at all. My husband's electric razor woke me at 5:30 every morning, ugghh!
Oh, back to the ceiling. If you have a shopvac, you can attach your scraper (duct tape works well) to the hose and suck it up as you go. Mine was loose except on the drywall seams. That took more work and made a bigger mess.
