Last night at guild, we had Sue Spargo! It was super exciting and I learned sew much! I think just being in near her was enough to make me more creative. I hope!
Her speech gave me new insights on color. Boy did it!
For one, I learned that mustard, lime green and turquoise look wonderful together, really wonderful.
I'm going to try to harness what I saw and learned last night into my way of thinking-working.
Another goal for this year, learn to use more color.
I'm not off to a bad start with those Kaffe hexies!
If you ever get a chance to see Sue, jump on it and go!
If you have a small fortune set aside, take one of her classes.
You will not be disappointed!
I'll leave you now with some pictures of her quilts. Sorry they aren't the best, it's my phone not her quilts.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Brandie

I'm so blue, have the flu and missed Sue... Boo who! I was so looking forward to last night.
Glad to see you so inspired, maybe some of it will rub off on me Monday :0)
I admire the quilters/artists who incorporate so much color, then I try and fail miserbly. I can't wait to see what Sue inspires you to create.
I've seen her work before and she does do some amazing things with color. I'm definitely not that bold myself, but she manages to pull it together beautifully. Glad you enjoyed yourself!
You lucky duck!!!!! She'll be here later this month for a workshop. I just can't justify the $500.
I can't wait to see how you go forward with the inspiration!!!!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE all the color choices... How awesome for you to get that great chance. Can't wait to see the product of your inspiration!
I enjoyed a few classes with Sue about 1 1/2 yrs ago thru my guild in Atlanta. She is just so inspiring and a lovely person too. Glad you got a chance to see her.

Lucky you! I think she is pretty amazing!!
Seeing new works and hearing people who are passionate about their pursuits is world expanding. How fun your quilt guild must be. Blissful...
Sue is coming to our guild in 2 weeks and I'm taking her workshop, thanks for what you had to say because I was beginning to regret spending the money.
