Color Chip 2

This is my second little challenge. It started out with ribbon embroidery that I really didn't like.
This is it's next life and I like it, so it stays. Next I just need to quilt it up.

Still working on my schoolhouses and probably will be till the next winter!

Yesterday I discovered that I mis-cut the backing to my cousins blue quilt. So I need to piece the back and add some leftover blocks to it.
I felt so dumb, but I read Bonnie Hunter's blog ( quiltville.blogspot.com). She had done the same thing for one of her quilts, and she's a pro, so I don't feel too bad, just irritated with myself.

Still working on everything at once. I feel like I have my hand in several pots.

Back to work I go!

Take care, Brandie

Such a beautiful block Miss Brandie. Don't feel bad about your miscuttings, we all do it sometime or another. You need to stop by my blog to see my new baby! Your blog roll hasn't updated my postings, I've posted twice since it's update on your roll.

Very sweet! I love daffodils! Sorry about the backing, but yes, it does happen to everyone! Have a happy day!

Just lovely. That background just reminds me of woven ribbons - perfect with the daffodils.

Very pretty....I love your 3D flowers....
I made a table topper once and had enough fabric for the back to be in one piece...to make a long story short....I cut the excess off and cut wrong so I had to piece the back...then I went to trim again and I cut wrong the 2nd time...now I have 2 seams on the back....it got to be funny so I had to laugh at myself....

Wow, those are lovely. They remind me of the daffodils that pop up all over Ireland in March. I like the way you did the basket-weave behind the vase.
