Boxes

These hexies are becoming an obsession. I just want to sit and stitch them up. That's all I want to do. Of course all the snow yesterday may have had something to do with that.
I finished the second row while waiting for yesterdays appointment.
I didn't complete as much beyond that row, but I'm still carrying on.

I received a package in the mail that will help. Fellow blogger Jeanie, sent me season 1 and 2 of Downton Abbey! Plus an applique DVD by Elly Sienkiewicz, master of the applique.
Jeanie stuck so much in that package. There was tea bags, little fabric cubes and a beautiful piece of fabric with tea cups. It was like a tea party in a box!
But the gift didn't stop there. It was fun for Dorian too.
He loves boxes! I think he thinks the mailman, UPS and Fedex bring him boxes. And if they have those bags of air, well he's just thrilled! Those bags of air or bubbles become his favorite toy. Until they go flat. That's when I go around gathering them up and throw them away.
It has gotten so bad, that we have to open boxes in a closed room because we don't want to lose something important.
Last week Hubby received a huge load of boxes for his new job.
He is meticulous about keeping track of what was in what box and so on. And with Dorians help it isn't easy. Dorian stole a bubble wrap sheet and tried to steal a mouse (that chord was too enticing).
But Jeanie sent him his own special box, all for him.
Thank you Jeanie! You how to way to our hearts!

Unfortunately it's time to finish my chores. So I much go and finish them before I sit, stitch and watch DA.
Oh and speaking of Downton Abbey, Jeanie told me to pass these DVDs on. So if you are interested, let me know. I'm not sure when I'll be done with them but I'll keep you posted, probably next week.

Take care, Brandie

I'd be interested in the DA DVD's. Would Dorian come in the box as well? What is it about cats and boxes. That certainly was a nice package that you received.

Great idea to keep passing on the DA DVD's. I would certainly be interested in watching them and then passing them on.
Dorian is just to dang cute! I have lots of bubble wrap here. Perhaps I should mail him a gift of that!

I'm a DA fan too and just HAD to have all three seasons. I plan to start re-watching now that this season's finale is over. Boo hoo, I hate waiting another year for the next season. :(

Dorian is pure cat...with all the curiosity he should have! Great gifts from your friend. Beautiful Hexies you are stitching. Sunshine today and the snow is melting from the trees. Yay. Blissful...

Love that Dorian. So excited for you to watch DA. I bought season 3 today at Costco, for me, and to pass along with my season 1&2 to my uninitiated DA friends. It is so good, and even re-watching is enjoyable. Have fun.

I've heard good things about DA but haven't started watching it yet. It's on our list though. As for Dorian, he's adorable. Our cats are just the same when it comes to boxes. But when it comes to the bubbles wrap, they don't play with it, they just lick it! Very weird. And FYI, I wanted to let you know I've nominated you for a Liebster Award. No pressure; hopefully you can have fun with it! I enjoy reading your blog!

Wow....what a nice thing to pass a long.....I think I'm the only person that hasn't seen Downton Abby and I was thinking of starting to watch, but don't want to start in the middle....I would love to watch the DVD and then pass it on to the next person.....it could be like a round robin...just no fabric....LOL
