Don't be shocked, I'm back again.
I don't have much to show you but I can say things are looking up.
Last week my SIL was moved out of the hospital and into a long term care facility. She will be in one for awhile and hopefully will be moved into a facility in her home town by July. A lot of this depends on her getting Medical. You see, they let their insurance lapse and now she is uninsured. The community has been great has raised money for her but it wasn't be nearly enough to pay for the care she has had and will need.
So learn from this mistake and never walk that close to thin ice!
Me, I'm still doing Physical Therapy three times a week. It's really cutting into my social life! If I had one that is.
Last Friday I finally crossed that invisible line that they've been talking about. Which was so wonderful! I can sit and stand and walk and bend, and all those things I use to do. Of course the flip side to feeling better means more intense exercises! I think they like to see me sweat!
With all these appointments, it doesn't leave much time to do much else. Or maybe that's because I'm slower?
I did get some tomatoes and herbs planted, that took me over a week. But they look good and are getting bigger.
This weekend I sat at my machine (first time in months). I was a bit sore so I could only sew for 20 minutes at a time.
During that time I managed to sew some piping and a ring of flying geese to my quilt.
I think the quilt needs more but it's not coming to me yet. I just know that I need to make it bigger. And I know I need to hurry if I'm going to put it in our Quilt Show this September.
Oh and I thought since Dorian will be a year old this weekend, I needed a new kitty.
This one was outside my kitchen window watching me do dishes. Cute ain't he?
Take care, Brandie
Oh, and I'm trying to check in and see what everyone is up to. Boy have I missed a lot!

Good to hear from you!
Hi Brandie: I have been thinking of you and your SIL. I know all too well how fast life can take a wrong turn. My recent post tells the story. Healing Hugs Dear...
P.S. Your quilt is beautiful.
I've been wondering how things were going. Glad you checked in. I was starting to get worried. The kitty... cracks me up. He has a nice stripe. I say go for it! Bwahahahaahahaha!
so sorry to hear about your sister and you. life is being tough on you both. I hope you both will be feeling better soon and your sister has a speedy recovery.
Love your quilt so far.
Glad to hear your SIL and you are making progress but so sad to hear of the insurance situation. Hope you are feeling well enough to find solace in your quilting soon.
I was thinking of little Dorian today ^..^ as I saw Debby's new little silver kitty at the quilt shop. She got her at the shelter and reminded me so much of "Mr. Gray" ! Glad you are a bit better and thanks for the update on your sister in law. And glad to know your sense of humor is still intact! Xo Pam
Glad you are getting around better....exercise always seems to be the answer! lol
Good news about your SIL too. I hope and pray she continues to improve.
Wonderful to hear your on the mend and have been able to do a bit of sewing. Continued prayers go out for your SIL's continued recovery. Our black and white cat, Ted met his match when he tangled with a skunk. Did he stink! He even stood still while I sprayed him full blast with the hose. We tease him about his 'girlfriend'.
Ah, Pepe le Pew! LOL! I'm glad to see you've been able to sew a little and I'm looking forward to seeing more of what you're working on. I hope your SIL continues to improve daily.
