A Stitch or Two

Yea, I'm still here. Still blue and it's still raining. Last night it rained so much, I now have a river through my yard. It was so windy last night, it keep me awake. Luckily, no damage and it doesn't appear to have toppled any trees in our yard. This means lots of clean up when the sun finally comes out.

I have been at my machine this morning. I was inspired by a pin cushion I saw at Moda's bake shop.

Here is my first ever attempt at a cathedral window.
Not too bad. Notice how my middle doesn't meet. Good thing a button will cover it!
But I'm having fun and will continue.

Take care, Brandie

I was going to try that pin cushion too! :) Love the fabrics you have used.

I hope the rain and wind ease before they do any damage.

Oh Brandie how fabulous. I've always wanted to make these blocks but I'm so intimidated. Your work is lovely.

This is a lovely pincushion. :)
I "found" your blog just this morning while doing some blog reading and linked to yours, and am a new Follower.

Hugs on the blue rain... it's yucky weather here in Washington State. You did well with that cathedral window. I haven't tried that yet.

I am one of the odd-balls who loves rain - and lots of it. One of my favorite pasttimes when I lived in Maine was to walk along the edge of the bay during heavy rains. The minute I saw your Cathedral window, I smiled because I recognized the fabric inside the windows. I had it in blue and in green. Beautiful!
