Whatever it was, I hung it up and used it as a curtain. I know, so disrespectful.
Well I've finally found some inspiration and decided to move forward.
Part of that was making the decision to do my own thing, making it up as I go.
So to start, I pulled out this really crazy ruler that my Grandmother gave me. I don't know how to use, but I'm making use of it.
We don't need fancy tools! Make it up as you go. That'll be my new motto. Of course if it doesn't work, ignore me.
After I drew some lines, I cut up a pile of basis stripes and pinned them down. Now the fun part, appliqué!
When I've finish, I'll show you another pic. Hopefully I'll discover a wonderful new technique using that strange ruler.

You loose interest in an appliqué project, odd :0) Beautiful stems! That ruler is great. Originally used for alterations, tailoring and clothing design. One like that is on Amazon for $18
Leslie has a great idea to use it for feathers! I use long flexible ones for window treatment design. They work on borders and feathers too.

What loose interes...oh, look, shiny. :) That's a dressmakers curve, it's used to create curved seams and sleeve heads. How fun that you've incorporated using it into quilting.
